UNiD LAB biomedical engineers on-hand to demonstrate software’s data-driven surgical planning and workflow functionalities.
October 24, 2017
By: Businesswire
The Medicrea Group, pioneering the convergence of healthcare IT and next-generation, outcome-centered device design and manufacturing with UNiD ASI technology, announced that the company will launch their UNiD HUB software at the 32nd Annual Meeting of the North American Spine Society (NASS), held October 25-28, 2017 in Orlando, Fla., with UNiD LAB biomedical engineers on-hand to demonstrate the software’s proprietary data-driven surgical planning and workflow functionalities. Denys Sournac, president and CEO, stated. “We are pleased to launch our UNiD HUB to the U.S. spine surgeon community at NASS 2017. In developing an industry-first software platform that fully integrates FDA-cleared adaptive and intelligent surgical planning through machine learning, we are uniquely able to harness the power of our exclusive and growing data set linked to the more than 1,800 UNiD ASI surgeries performed to date to drive improved outcomes and efficiencies in spine surgery, as confirmed by our recently released clinical results.” The user-friendly UNiD HUB, a web-based portal, also available as a mobile and tablet application, will manage the complete surgeon workflow for the company’s UNiD ASI (Adaptive Spine Intelligence) technology and will become the surgeon’s primary touchpoint for collaboration with Medicrea’s UNiD LAB biomedical engineers to develop predictive, data-driven case plan strategies and to materialize personalized UNiD TEK, patient-specific implants, before surgery. Surgeons will be able to instantly view metrics on their upcoming and previous UNiD ASI cases through the software’s dashboard upon login, with notifications alerting them of plan completion, pending actions, and tracking for personalized implant delivery. They are also able to manage their full case database from within the UNiD HUB directly with specialized search, organization and favoriting functionalities as well as perform powerful data visualizations and analytical reporting based on their selections. Medicrea will showcase the UNiD HUB software alongside its UNiD ASI systems technology in Medicrea Booth #513 at the NASS Annual Meeting. The technology will also be presented by Dr. Paul McAfee, of the University of Maryland St. Joseph Medical Center, at the NASS Solution Showcase Theater on the Exhibit Hall Floor from 12:00 to 12:30pm on Thursday, October 26. On the evening of Thursday, October 26, Dr. Paul McAfee will be joined by Dr. Christopher Kleck, of University Colorado Hospital, and Thomas Mosnier, PhD, Chief Scientific Officer at Medicrea, to host an interactive forum on Adaptive Spine Intelligence and its Influence on Spinal Treatment Options at the Hyatt Regency Orlando.
